Golf Sunglasses That Won’t Dent Your Wallet

There’s 2 types of people in the world.  Those that can take care of a pair of sunglasses & have them for longer than a week, and those who, no matter how hard they try, they’re going to lose or break them in no time.

If you’re part of the latter group you probably don’t want to spend a fortune on golf sunglasses.  Shoot, even if you can hold onto them for longer than a round of golf, who wants to spend hundreds of dollars on sunglasses for golf.  I know I don’t.

While looking for a quality pair of stylish sunglasses I ran across the standards.  Nike, Adidas, Oakley, Under Armour, Maui Jim, etc, but I was blown away when I saw them ranging in price from $75 to over $200.   Two hundy for a pair of sunglasses??? No thanks. I could get a few rounds and a two year supply of balls for that price.

Golf Sunglasses That Don’t Cost a Fortune

SunDog Eye Wear

SunDog not only had fair prices, but they also had a huge selection to choose from.  A nice pair of golf sunglasses will range in price, but they’re more than reasonable.  I can live with dropping what I would on one round of golf, but 5 or 6…no way!

Anyway, they’re a pretty good price & stylish. I personally own a pair as well and can vouch for them.

Full disclaimer…I’m not the biggest fan of these sunglasses but it would be unfair to exclude them.  They make some nice frames and they have great prices, it just wouldn’t be my first choice as far as style.  They’re a little too spandex-bike-riding guy for me, but they aren’t bad and there’s some nice pairs for about the cost of a decent round of golf.

That’s It?!?!?!

Sadly this pretty much completes the list.  I went to the Dick’s Sporting Goods website and searched ‘golf sunglasses’ between in the lowest bracket.  Five pairs of sunglasses came up and the cheapest one was nearly double.  It’s a damn shame, but for all of us who lose and break sunglasses as fast as we lose a ball in the water, we’re out of luck.

For now, if we want cheap sunglasses I guess we’ll have to stick to a few quality brands, cheap Chinatown knockoffs or gas station specials.
